Food-borne illness investigations are started within 24 hours of notification. Please be as accurate as possible with your food history so that inspectors have all the data they need. (Food history will include meals eaten before and after the onset of illness). Please understand that the only way to verify that you have a food-borne illness is for the doctor to perform a fecal test. Without confirmed laboratory results, the investigation will be inconclusive.
