  • The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a national network of volunteers that help improve the health and safety of their communities. The MRC's goal is to prepare for and respond to emergencies and disasters, and to support ongoing preparedness initiatives.

Goals of the Brazos County Health District MRC

  • Recruit, train, and activate volunteers
  • Support public health initiatives
  • Supplement response capabilities
  • Work in medical support call centers
  • Provide first aid 
  • Provide community education

Volunteer Now!

Complete the following steps to become an MRC member. First, sign up with the Texas Disaster Volunteer Registry (TDVR). Next, complete the Brazos County Health District Medical Reserve Corps application.

Step 1: Click here to sign up with TDVR Complete the following steps once on the TDVR webpage:

  • Select Register Now
  • Select Add Organizations
  • Find Brazos County Organizations
  • Select the drop-down button next to Brazos County Organizations
  • Select the check box next to Brazos County Medical Reserve Corps
  • Press Select
  • Enter your information, availability and skills

Step 2: Complete the Brazos County MRC application

  • Once your TDVR profile is completed to 100%, the MRC Coordinator will email you an MRC application.
